John Pound founded Integrity Brands in 1999 after a career that included research and policy work in corporate governance and financial market policy, active investing, and extensive involvement in the specialty retail arena. He received a Ph.D. in finance from Yale University; worked on corporate control and insider trading policies in the mid-1980s at the Securities and Exchange Commission; and taught financial market policy for ten years at Harvard University where he was a nationally prominent leader on corporate governance reform. He worked with Taylor & Co., an affiliate of the Bass family of Texas, to raise The Trinity Fund, L.P., a $1 billion fund dedicated to active investing in the American and Canadian equity markets. He has served as an adviser, board member, and joint venture partner with over a dozen leading consumer brand and specialty retail companies. He is presently a member of the Boards of two public companies, Gymboree (GYMB) and Orange 21 (ORNG) and of Tactical Holdings, a privately-held company in the footwear industry.
